Aukeo/Leadership and team
Our common standard is simple: every guest, every stay, every flight, every time.
Leadership
Alexandra Pohl leads Aukeo as Chief Executive Officer and William Pohl III runs its operations as Chief Operating Officer, with Suebina Wong, McCory King, Joe Tobin and Julia Tripline.

“Luxury is an operating discipline. The guest only sees the result.”
Alexandra Pohl is the Chief Executive Officer of Aukeo, an integrated luxury hospitality and private travel company building boutique hotels, luxury private residences and private aviation under one brand, one concierge and one membership program, the Pink List. She leads it on the conviction that luxury is an operating discipline: every stay, residence and flight is only as good as the systems, standards and people behind it.
Raised in a real estate family, Alexandra built early mastery in capital strategy and asset performance. She earned dual undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Exercise Science, competing as a Hall of Fame dual-sport NAIA D1 athlete, then deepened her competitive discipline through martial arts and an MBA in Global Business Management. She spent seven-plus years at Toyota and Danfoss applying lean and TPS methodologies to complex multi-site operations: at Toyota she compressed project timelines and eliminated workflow waste; at Danfoss she standardized KPIs and tightened variance-to-budget across international programs. She then spent eight-plus years in senior U.S. federal leadership on regulatory and infrastructure matters, and has personally directed $300 million or more in development and capital programs.
At Aukeo, those disciplines show up in service standards, revenue management and the operating detail guests never see but always feel. She runs Aukeo like a multi-site operation with a single guest standard: hotels, residences and aviation report the same core numbers each month (occupancy, rate, guest satisfaction, margin and safety), and every acquisition is underwritten against a written repositioning plan. Where Aukeo operates regulated businesses, such as Part 135 charter, compliance and safety come first.
Her profit-with-purpose ethos holds that well-run businesses create value for the people they serve, the teams that run them and the capital partners who back them, all at once. Outside the boardroom, she supports animal shelters and rescue organizations, because she believes leadership is measured not only by returns but by the lives improved along the way.

“I have repositioned whole neighborhoods. A hotel is the same job with better sheets.”
William Pohl III is the Chief Operating Officer of Aukeo. He owns the operating side: acquiring and repositioning properties, building out operations across Aukeo’s six offices and getting every hotel, residence and aircraft running to the Aukeo Standard.
William grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, watching his father build one business after another: a CPA firm, real estate companies, a roofing company and a collector car dealership. His father gave him one rule he still runs on: never quitting gives you an advantage over 99% of the people. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American Public University and joined his father’s firm, Trustpoint Financial Corp., in 2001 as a project manager on job sites across the eastern United States. By 2005 he was Managing Partner, running the firm’s residential real estate funds, and through the 2008 collapse he kept building, bought while others sold, gave investors the hard truth before they had to ask and kept his team together.
He went on to found Tetra Homes Inc. in single-family (2011 to 2015) and Majorwave Corp. in multifamily (2015 to 2021), acquiring whole neighborhoods and multifamily communities and repositioning them into places people wanted to live. Over two decades, his 20 residential real estate funds and his companies delivered more than 10,000 homes and apartments across eight states and Washington, D.C., and he never ran a team larger than 25 people. At Aukeo, he applies the same repositioning playbook to hotels and residences.
William leads Aukeo from the property up. He walks every hotel and residence before it is bought, knows what it will take to reposition it, and owns the schedule and budget until it opens. Once a property is running, he keeps the team small, senior and accountable, and he fixes what breaks the same day. Outside the office, he cares for four rescue dogs (Willow, Bleu, Ghost and Cookie) and supports animal rescue, grows exotic fruit trees that have no business surviving an Ohio winter, and builds AI systems and websites late at night.

The best service is the kind guests never notice, because everything was anticipated. Suebina Wong, Chief of Staff at Aukeo, brings that mindset to the company behind the experience. Aukeo unites boutique hotels, luxury residences, and private aviation together under one brand, one concierge, and one membership program, The Pink List, and Suebina works directly with Alexandra Pohl, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, to keep every division aligned around a single guest standard.
Anticipation is a skill she practiced where the stakes were highest. In twelve years of intelligence service, six of them as an active-duty soldier, she worked as a Senior SIGINT Geospatial Analyst and mission team lead, building plans from incomplete information for Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, Operation Enduring Freedom, and the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. A thousand-plus intelligence professionals across the U.S. Government later learned the craft from her.
She then moved into real estate, where she earned a spot among the nation’s top agents five years in a row and specialized in acquisitions, new-market launches, and repositioning properties in the country’s most competitive cities.
Today she runs Aukeo’s leadership cadence, the rhythm of its Investment Committee and governance councils, and its internal communications. She is the connection between the Office of the CEO, Aukeo’s six offices, and the leaders of Aukeo Hotels, Aukeo Residences, Aukeo Air, and Aukeo Concierge.
Discretion is the first rule of luxury, and it is how McCory King has worked throughout his career. As Head of Investor Relations at Aukeo, which brings boutique hotels, luxury residences, and private aviation together under one brand, one concierge, and one membership program, The Pink List, he represents the company to limited partners, family offices, private investors, and institutional allocators.
McCory reports to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and works alongside Alexandra Pohl, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He leads investor engagement, capital-raising initiatives, due diligence, and portfolio communications for Aukeo Hotels, Aukeo Residences, and Aukeo Air, and treats each investor relationship the way Aukeo treats a guest: close attention to what that investor wants to achieve, prompt replies, and no surprises.
His experience spans more than 20 years in financial services, strategic operations, risk management, and technology. He began in treasury services at Bank of America, where he managed accounts for Fortune 500 companies and state clients and was known for seamless service. He later served as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, leading sensitive initiatives that called for executive presence, sound judgment, and complete confidentiality.
McCory earned his Master of Science in Intelligence Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Old Dominion University.
Luxury depends on getting the details right before a guest ever arrives, and the same is true of buying the places they stay. Joe Tobin is Head of Research at Aukeo, which brings boutique hotels, luxury residences, and private aviation together under one brand, one concierge, and one membership program, The Pink List.
Joe reports to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and works alongside Alexandra Pohl, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. He supports market selection and acquisitions across Aukeo Hotels, Aukeo Residences, and Aukeo Air: studying demand, comparable properties, and pricing, and building the underwriting data and return models that tell Aukeo where to grow and what to buy.
Hospitality is a live performance, and Joe has spent 12 years producing and directing them. On the national sports entertainment circuit he ran live events across the country and in international markets by one rule, the show must go on, while coaching talent and shaping marketing that grew audiences and merchandise sales. Before and alongside that, he worked ten years as a biotechnology subject matter expert in gene and cell therapy protein purification. As lead manufacturer and department supervisor, he led a department that oversaw more than 20 drug molecules from development to distribution for critically ill patients.
Joe holds a degree in biochemistry from Towson University, where he graduated with honors in 2015. He keeps a strict training and diet discipline as a bodybuilder and spends free time paddleboarding and making epoxy resin art.
Few office managers come to hospitality with a background in executive aviation. Julia Tripline, Office Manager at Aukeo, does. Aukeo brings boutique hotels, luxury residences, and private aviation together under one brand, one concierge, and one membership program, The Pink List.
Julia reports to William Pohl III, Chief Operating Officer, and is also the right hand of Alexandra Pohl, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer. Running the office and the front desk, she handles the scheduling, travel, and day-to-day details that let Aukeo’s leadership stay focused on its hotels, residences, and Aukeo Air. She welcomes partners and guests, manages the main line, and keeps expense reports, vendors, and office supplies in order. Her approach matches the brand’s: notice what someone will need and have it ready before they ask.
Julia is an Air Force veteran with more than eight years of experience spanning executive aviation, global operations, program management, and organizational leadership. Her aviation and operational assignments put her in support of senior national and military leaders on domestic and international operations, in settings where discretion and precision were expected without exception. She learned to anticipate evolving needs and to coordinate across organizations so that every detail was in place, the same standard Aukeo sets for its members.
She also served in instructional and leadership roles, running training and qualification programs for hundreds of personnel and working with senior leadership to establish a new aviation career field. That experience shapes how she supports Aukeo’s own team, from onboarding new hires to building the office routines that let a growing company deliver service consistently.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Cultural Anthropology and an Associate of Science in Space Technology and is pursuing a Master of Science in Intelligence Management. Originally from Oregon, Julia loves to travel and explore new places, and she also enjoys running, baking, the outdoors, and her two dogs.
How we are organized
Aukeo Hotels, Aukeo Residences and Aukeo Air share one leadership team, working from the Dallas headquarters and five regional offices.
Property, residence and flight teams
Each hotel is led by a General Manager with a small on-site team, enabling a level of personal attention that larger operations cannot replicate. Residence teams manage turnovers, maintenance and guest requests in each market.
Aukeo Air crews, dispatch coordinators and technicians are selected for technical competence and service orientation, and are equipped with the authority to resolve issues without unnecessary escalation. Every owner and corporate client has a named point of contact.
